Chili Contest
Make a killer chili? Is your chili better than your neighbor's? Wanna show it off?!! A Chili Cookoff Contest is the theme for October's pot-luck bar bingo lunch! This Sunday, 10/13, tasting starts at 2pm and top 3 winners will be announced just before bar bingo at 3pm! Sides are welcome too!! Cornbread, salads, chips, desserts - it's a potluck chili contest lunch! Entry for judging is required - email Jen Chapman at chapman.jen@hotmail.com. Sides will not be judged.
Weekly Updates Schedule Change
We are so happy that the officers and committee chairs have been so engaged with providing information to the PR&M committee. During last night's meeting it was decided that the Weekly Update's schedule will change. Starting 10/11/24, the new deadline for Weekly Update submissions, for the upcoming week, is now Fridays by Noon. Please submit your information for the Weekly Updates to the Weekly-updates-submissions channel in Slack. The Weekly Updates will now be published on Sundays with information for that week.
Pennsylvania Elks State Convention

The Fall Workshop of the PA Elks State Association will be held October 9-13, 2024, at the Red Lion Hotel, 4751 Lindle Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111; 717-939-7841. There will be a full schedule of events, business sessions, and clinics in addition to free time to enjoy yourself. There will be committee progress reports, awards, and state committee meetings. There are also seminars being planned that we feel will be of interest to you.
In addition, we will be honored by the official visit of the Grand Exalted Ruler, the Honorable Douglas A. Schiefer and First Lady Julia. This will be a great opportunity to meet them and to show them what the Elks of Pennsylvania are doing to carry out our mission of service.
We hope that you will enjoy this convention and will find it helpful to you and your lodge. In addition, we will be able to show our Grand Exalted Ruler what the Pennsylvania Elks State Association is accomplishing.
